GENERAL
What are the trade show's opening hours for exhibitors?
Exhibitors can go into the fairground half hour before visitors are allowed in and leave it up to one hour after it closes to visitors. This means that opening hours for exhibitors are from 8:30am to 6:00pm on May 19th and 20th and from 8:30am to 5:00pm on May 21st.

How do I obtain more information on exhibiting during SIAL China 2009?
In the Exhibitor menu of this website you can find a lot of information on participating during this exhibition. For more information please contact our sales department in Paris or in Shanghai.
Who can exhibit at SIAL China 2009?
You must be a professional of the food, beverage and hospitality industry with one of our product categories as core business.
What do I have to do to exhibit at SIAL China 2009?
To take part in the trade show you must fill in the application form.
Please be advised that we only accept registrations with firm and stamp. Once you have sent your application form, a member of our commercial team will contact you to finalize the details of your participation.
How I can exhibit on a collective booth?
Some of the pavilions are organized by country governments, trading institutions or by big companies. To inquire about a pavilion for your country, please contact your responsible area agent in the section “Contacts – SIAL China network”.
How do I choose my booth space at SIAL China 2009?
When you fill in the registration form to exhibit at SIAL China you have to choose your type of booth. You can also indicate your wishes with respect to your stand neighbors. The information will be kept confidential and our sales team will do their best to comply with your wishes.
Where can I get information on different services such as stand construction, technical equipment, furniture etc.?

How long have I got to decide whether to participate?
To make sure that SIAL China runs smoothly, the registration period for exhibitors ends on April 19, 2009. No applications will be accepted after this date.

Where can I find the list of exhibitors?
You can find the exhibitors list for the past edition in the website page " Exhibit - List of Exhibitors 2008".
The exhibitors list 2009 will be published one month before the show on our website, in the Exhibit menu, section "List of Exhibitors".

As an exhibitor, what do I have to do to appear in the SIAL China show directory?
Once you have registered as an exhibitor for SIAL China 2009, our sales team will give you an exhibitor ID and password. This password enables you to enter the restricted “Exhibitor account” on our website and order all the necessary equipment and services for your participation.
By filling in the registration form for our Show Directory, you have the chance to give more information about your products and your activity which will appear in the catalog. If you wish to have more visibility in the catalog, you also have the chance to upload your company logo for a small extra fee.
If you miss the chance to submit your product description and logo by April 19, 2009, only your company contact will appear in the catalog. Please understand that this deadline is important in order to ensure a smooth preparation of SIAL China 2009.
The official show directory will be offer to our exhibitors in the exhibitor kit at the beginning of the exhibition or it will be available in the information corner at the entrance of each exhibition hall.
BUDGET / COST
How much will it cost me to participate in SIAL China 2009? How should I plan my budget?
Your participating expenses will depend on several factors: not only the size of your booth but also the importance of your products, sales material you might want to prepare for the show, special services you will need and so on. Every company has its own particular needs and requires a customized answer.

Can I cancel my registration?
No, registration fees are not refundable.
VISA
Do I need a business visa to come to SIAL China? How do I obtain it?
You do not need a business visa in order to attend SIAL China.
A tourist visa is enough, easier to obtain and it enables you to stay in China for 30 days. Just contact the Chinese Consulate in your home country for application.
BADGES
When do I receive my badges?
For security reasons, SIAL China does not send out badges to international individual exhibitors. As individual exhibitor, you will be able to get your badge during the building time before the show by presenting the bar code (the confirmation of your registration), your company name, your exhibitor ID and if you are a bare booth exhibitor you have to also provide your booth design approval.
The badges will be sent only to the exhibitors based in China.
SPECIAL EVENTS
How do I sign up to attend a seminar, importers meetings or special event?
Applying to one of our events is easy.
You can go to the Events menu and see the detailed seminar, competitions and events program.
To apply to one of them, go into your exhibitor account; fill in and submit the application form of the event that you are interested in.
In addition to the product exhibition, are there any parallel activities of interest to trade professionals?
SIAL China is devoting over 700sqm of its floor area to housing an exceptional offer of entertainment and training: conventions, talks, demonstrations, forums, competitions and tasting.

MISCALLANEOUS
Are there discounted hotel rooms in Shanghai?
SIAL China does not offer discounted hotel rates.
SIAL China recommends a professional hotel agents to take care of your accomodation during your staying in Shanghai. Please go to your exhibitor account to discover more.
How can I make sure of a parking place in the fairground while the exhibition is on?
Exhibitors of SIAL China can use parking places of SNIEC according to availability and pay directly to the exhibition center.
How can I get a translator to help me dealing with Chinese language?
SIAL China has a list of official contractors and among them a company providing interpreting services. You will find the application form for their services in your exhibitor account.
