GENERAL 

  • What are the trade show's opening hours for visitors?

The opening hours for visitors are from 9:00am to 5:00pm on May 19th and 20th and from 9:00am to 4:00pm on May 21st (last entrance 3:00pm)

 

VISIT SIAL CHINA

  • How do I obtain more information on visiting SIAL China 2009?

In the Visitor menu of this website you can find a lot of information on visiting during this exhibition. For more information please contact our information department in Shanghai sialchina@exposium-shanghai.com .

 

  • How do I register as a visitor?

Please, click on the link “Pre-registration badges” to directly register as a visitor for SIAL China 2009. These function will be ready in february 2009, if you pre-register you will receive free entrance to SIAL China 2009 and by presenting your barcode at the front desk you can avoid waiting in line.

  • How do I know if my registration was successful?

After your registration by the pre-registration form, you will receive a confirmation email, with a barcode.

If you are unable to confirm your registration electronically, you can call +86 21 62 49 20 28 / Mon - Fri 9am-6pm.

  • How do I plan my visit?

During the months leading up to the exhibition, the website works as an important tool to plan your visit to the exhibition. We have selected several links with information on hotel reservation and travel & stay information ...

LIST OF EXHIBITORS

  • Where can I find the list of exhibitors?

You can find the exhibitors list for the past edition in the website page “Visit – List of Exhibitors 2008”.

You will find a search engine with the list of exhibitors according to the company name, the product type and the country.

The exhibitors list 2009 will be published two weeks before the show on our website, in the Visit menu, section “List of Exhibitors”.

The official catalog will be sold at all information desks during the show on the fairground. After the show you will have the possibility to order online a catalog as long as we have in stock. You will be charged catalogue cost and mailing cost.

BADGES

  • When do I receive my badge?

For security reasons, SIAL China does not send out badges to individual visitors. As an individual visitor, you will be able to get your badge at the entrance of the exhibition by presenting your barcode (the confirmation of your registration) or by registering directly on the show.

For visitors and delegations who come with an official institution, we can send the badges upon request to the person in charge of the group who in turn will distribute them to the exhibitors.

 

VISA

  • How do I obtain a visa for my visit to China?

With the exception of a few countries such as India, you do not need a business visa to visit China. You may simply apply for a tourist visa in your home country at the Chinese consulate. With a passport that is valid for minimum 6 further months, a tourist visa authorizes you to stay up to 1 month in China. You do not need a business visa for visiting the trade show. 
 

SPECIAL EVENTS

  • What is the schedule for the upcoming Special Events Program?

For a complete description of show seminars, workshops, tasting and special events, click in the Events menu. A list of event will appear, click on the event you would like to attend. Here you can access a complete Special Events Program to check event schedules and registration procedures. 

  • How do I sign up to attend a seminar, workshop or special event?

Signing up for a seminar is very easy and convenient with our online-registration system. Once registration is available for a certain event, you can go to the Events menu and register for those events in which you are interested in.

 

ACCESS / LOCATION

  • How can I reach SIAL China?

- You can either show this map to the taxi driver who will bring you to the main entrance.

- You can also take metro line 2 direction Zhangjiang Gaoke and get off at Longyang Road Station. From here you can walk down to the exhibition centre (about 10 minutes) or take a taxi or our shuttle bus service.

   

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Are there discounted hotel rooms in Shanghai?

SIAL China does not offer discounted hotel rates.

There are numerous hotels available in Shanghai. SIAL China recomments a professional agent to help your accomodation during SIAL China. You can find their information in Visit menu, section "Travel Information".

  • Can my children come to visit SIAL China?

No one under the age of 18 will be admitted into the SIAL China. This also applies to small children and infants in strollers or other carriers. SIAL China is a fair aimed at professionals, so in order to create as productive a business climate as possible no children under the age of eighteen are admitted.

  • Are there any facilities for visitors coming by private vehicle?

A parking for visitors of SIAL China will be available at SNIEC. Free parking for visitors of SIAL China at will be available according to availability. SNIEC will charge you directly.

  • How can I get a translator to help me dealing with Chinese language?

SIAL China recommends a professional translation company to help your communication during your visit on the show and you stay in Shanghai.
