Data shows that in 2023, China's total food imports reached $140.18 billion, with six major categories - meat, grains, seafood, fruits, dairy, and vegetable oils - accounting for nearly 80%, with a compound growth rate of more than 11% in the past decade. Brazil, the United States, Thailand, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, and Russia are China's main food import trading partners. In 2023, China's food exports totaled $76.517785 billion, a 0.6% YoY increase. Meanwhile, food exports to Central and Eastern Europe grew by 11.9%, with emerging markets becoming key growth drivers. As the industry upgrades, China's product quality, organizational capability, and marketing strength are expanding globally, more Chinese enterprises are looking for new opportunities in overseas markets.
