Statistics show that China's non-financial outbound direct invest 4,163 overseas companies in 150 countries and regions amounted to RMB 343.47 billion in the first four months of 2024, up 18.7% year-on-year. With 29.5% and 19.9% of large-scale enterprises having already implemented overseas expansion or planning to do so, the outbound trend remains upward. Facing the fierce competition in the domestic market, more and more F&B brands are targeting the larger markets overseas for a new growth curve. However, cultural differences, policy & regulatory restrictions, language barriers, geopolitical instability, unclear market demands, supply chain shortages, and inappropriate marketing methods have made it difficult for F&B brands to foster overseas business.
