SIAL in China

SIAL is the abbreviation of the French “Salon International De L'Alimentation”, which translates to 'International Food Exhibition' in Chinese. '西雅(Xīyǎ)' is the phonetic translation of SIAL in Chinese. The SIAL brand was founded in 1964 in Paris by France's Comexposium Group and is the world’s largest food and beverage innovation exhibition brand under its portfolio.

SIAL is held in several cities worldwide, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Paris, Montreal, Toronto, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. It serves as a key platform for global food companies to showcase their value and voice in the industry. To foster the growth and prosperity of China's food industry, Comexposium Group introduced SIAL to China in 2000, establishing a double city format with SIAL Shanghai and SIAL Guangzhou. With two editions annually, it continues to captivate the attention of food and beverage professionals worldwide with its unique appeal. 'International, professional, trade-oriented, and innovative' have become strong brand labels of SIAL.

With over 26 years of development in the Chinese market, SIAL in China has hosted more than 55,000 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions, along with over 1.5 million food and beverage professionals from 125 countries and regions. SIAL Shanghai has now become 'Asia's Largest Food and Beverage Trade Fair', while SIAL Guangzhou positions itself as 'The Exclusive Gateway to Southern China F&B Market', leveraging the Greater Bay Area, Southeast Asia, and even the global food and beverage market. Each year, SIAL showcases new food and beverage products from numerous countries and regions, attracting a large pool of high-quality invited buyers. The exhibition precisely connects exhibitors with global food and beverage buyers, facilitating deals and business opportunities. Additionally, its 360° integrated marketing throughout the year, offering seamless online and offline trade-matching services, continuously drives business success beyond the exhibition period.

This exhibition is a professional food and beverage trade show, open exclusively to industry professionals. Individuals under 18 and non-professionals over 70 are restricted to enter the venue.
