China General Chamber of Commerce

China General Chamber of Commerce is a national, non-profit, industry-based social organization founded in 1994 by businesses, institutions, social organizations, and individuals involved in the production, distribution, and servicing of commodities.

Currently, it has 13 working bodies and 30 branches; more than 4,500 direct members and more than 80,000 indirect members. The government has entrusted it with the management of 14 companies and institutions, 40 national professional associations, societies, and research groups, and 32 domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines. The Association is affiliated with both the Asia Pacific Federation of Retailers Associations and the International Retail Forum.

It is registered with and managed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and is led by the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
