South China Food Expo has noticed that this kind of "local product" that was originally only produced and sold by local villagers has now become a new favorite fruit in Guangdong and Guangxi regions, bringing considerable economic benefits to the people of the Yao Township.

Walking into the planting base in Yinshan Village, Dafa Yao Township, the plump and round wampee fruits shine with an attractive luster in the sun, and fruit farmers are busy picking, sorting and packing them. Luo Zhaoquan, a villager, planted 8 mu of chicken heart wampee, which had a bumper harvest this year. According to the purchase price of about 5 yuan per catty, the expected income can reach more than 100,000 yuan. There are many such growers as Luo Zhaoquan in the local area, and the wampee industry has become an important pillar to drive villagers' income increase.

Dafa Yao Township, relying on its unique natural conditions, has cultivated wampee fruits that are famous for their large size, thick flesh, small seeds and sweet taste. The local planted varieties are rich and diverse, including chicken heart wampee, seedless wampee, black king kong wampee and other high-quality varieties.
