China food expo|Maoming Lychee Juice Makes Its Debut in Overseas Market

2025.09.02

Recently, 51.2 tons of lychee juice produced by Maoming Jiayi Food Co., Ltd. was successfully exported to Vietnam under the supervision of Maoming Customs (under Zhanjiang Customs). This marks the first export of lychee juice from Maoming to the international market this year. The company's participation in the China Food Expo has played a significant role in expanding its global reach.

As the world's largest lychee production base and China's premier lychee-growing region, Maoming has long been renowned as the "Lychee Capital of China." From fresh lychees to deep-processed lychee products, Maoming's offerings are now available in supermarkets of all sizes abroad.

As the lychee season gradually winds down, a "battle to preserve freshness" is underway at Maoming Jiayi Food Co., Ltd. The company has introduced advanced processing technologies to transform fresh lychees into additive-free lychee juice products, allowing this Lingnan specialty to transcend seasonal limitations.

"Processing lychees into juice for export effectively extends the industrial chain and enhances the product's added value," said Yang Yansi, head of Maoming Jiayi Food Co., Ltd. "The efficient services provided by customs during the clearance process have helped our new product quickly access new markets."

To ensure the smooth export of this batch of lychee juice, Maoming Customs provided guidance to the company prior to the export declaration, helping them refine their quality management system to meet Vietnam’s import standards and requirements. During the clearance process, Maoming Customs optimized inspection and quarantine procedures, opened a "green channel," and accelerated the release of the goods, thereby maximizing the freshness and quality of the products. With the continuous support of customs’ end-to-end services, Maoming lychees are now entering global markets in more diverse forms and with longer life cycles. The exposure and opportunities provided by the China Food Expo have further strengthened the international promotion of such regional specialty agricultural products, offering a new model for their global upgrade.
