Asia Food Exhibition|56 Tons of Fresh Veggies Rush from Ningxia to Southeast Asia

2025.09.22

On September 17, 56 tons of fresh onions processed by Ningxia Yinguan Food Technology Co., Ltd. in the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone were successfully exported to Thailand and Malaysia after passing inspection by the Hedong Airport Customs, a subsidiary of Yinchuan Customs. Asia Food Exhibition celebrates the first export of fresh vegetables from Ningxia to Thailand and Malaysia.

“Originally, we focused mainly on dehydrated vegetable processing in the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, with an annual export value of around 40 million yuan. As Ningxia’s business environment continues to improve, especially with supportive policies from customs and other departments tailored for companies in the bonded zone, our clearance time has been significantly reduced and operational costs lowered,” said Liu Yan, head of Ningxia Yinguan Food Technology Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the company sources agricultural products such as onions and potatoes from local farmers, processes them for freshness, and exports them to countries including Thailand and Malaysia. The company plans to export six containers per week, each containing about 28 tons of fresh vegetables, and is expected to achieve an export value of 35 million yuan by the end of the year.

“To ensure the rapid clearance of fresh products, customs has implemented optimized inspection measures, including a ‘green channel’ for fresh vegetables. The entire process, from application to inspection, takes only half a day, greatly improving clearance efficiency,” said a representative of Hedong Airport Customs. Since the beginning of this year, the customs office has continued to implement trade facilitation policies and measures supporting the development of the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone. By enhancing local inspection services, establishing mechanisms such as “appointment-based clearance,” “green channels,” and “enterprise liaison officers,” it has comprehensively improved clearance efficiency, logistics support, and policy service levels, increasing companies’ satisfaction.

A representative of Yinchuan Customs stated that the export of fresh vegetables from Ningxia not only expands the international market for local high-quality agricultural products and boosts agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income but also enhances the recognition and competitiveness of the “Ningxia” brand in the Southeast Asian market. Asia Food Exhibition believes that it contributes positively to promoting regional agricultural modernization and integrating into the Belt and Road economic and trade cooperation.
