Asia Food Exhibition| Beijing's Culinary Ambassadors: Time-Honored Brands Win Global Appetites

Asia Food Exhibition has recently learned that Traditional Beijing flavors from time-honored brands including Daoxiangcun mooncakes, Hongxing Erguotou liquor, and Wangzhihe fermented tofu are gaining remarkable traction in international markets, according to Beijing Customs statistics.

 

                       

 

With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, Daoxiangcun has seen overseas orders surge dramatically. "We've exported over 8,000 cases of pastries this year, totaling approximately 53 tons, to more than 40 countries and regions including the EU, the United States, Canada, and South Korea," said a representative from Daoxiangcun Food Co., Ltd.

 

The seasonal nature of mooncakes initially raised concerns about meeting tight delivery schedules. "We were genuinely worried about fulfilling orders on time," the representative admitted. However, streamlined customs procedures significantly accelerated clearance processes.

 

Tongzhou Customs, handling Daoxiangcun's exports, implemented a "direct release + direct loading" model that eliminates traditional storage and multiple handling steps. "Products move directly from production lines to transport vessels after inspection," explained a Customs official. "We pre-emptively coordinated with the company based on their production schedule and assigned dedicated officers for inspection."

 

Wangzhihe Food Co., Ltd., renowned for its fine-textured, soft, and aromatic fermented tofu, reported exporting 217.5 tons during January-August – a 14% year-on-year increase. "Beyond overseas Chinese communities, we're seeing growing interest from local consumers eager to experience authentic Beijing flavors," a company representative noted.

 

Meanwhile, Beijing Hongxing Co., Ltd. has expanded its global footprint with customs assistance in navigating varying international standards for alcoholic beverages. The company has now exported over 20 million yuan worth of products to 19 countries, establishing recognizable brand presence worldwide.

 

This export success demonstrates how Beijing's heritage food brands, supported by customized customs facilitation measures, are transforming traditional culinary delights into globally sought-after commodities. Asia Food Exhibition celebrates this achievement.
