Shenzhen International Food Exhibition learned that "Jiangchuan Bighead Fish" has been officially certified as a national geographical indication protected product. This recognition makes the fish species the first indigenous fish in Yunnan Province to obtain geographical indication protection, marking a significant breakthrough in the construction of characteristic aquatic product brands in Jiangchuan District and adding new impetus to the development of the local ecological economy.

In the early hours of the morning, the grape planting base in Daluanwei Village is brightly lit, with villagers busy picking fresh grapes. Fang Aifa, a 73-year-old poverty-alleviated household, told reporters that by planting 13 mu (about 0.87 hectares) of Kyoho grapes, his family’s annual income has stabilized at over 80,000 yuan, and they even built a three-story new house in 2020.

As noted by Food Exhibition, the Lingnan region has been enduring persistent high temperatures since the start of the "fu" days (the hottest period in summer). A bowl of dark brown, translucent guiling jelly with a subtle medicinal aroma has become a must-have for locals to beat the heat and dispel dampness. This traditional herbal paste, originating from Wuzhou, Guangxi, has been passed down for over a millennium and is now stepping onto the world stage with innovative flair.

From the millennia-old lychee trees in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, bearing fruit again to major producing areas celebrating bumper harvests, the Lingnan lychee industry is making the leap from traditional cultivation to modern agriculture through technological innovation and model upgrading.
