Flavors of Georgia — Returning to the Global Stage at SIAL Shenzhen 2025

2025.07.16

At SIAL Shenzhen 2024, under the guidance of the Rural Development Agency, a passionate group of Georgian producers brought the essence of their land. As we prepare to welcome them back to SIAL Shenzhen 2025 this September, let’s take a look at the authentic tastes they shared with the world.

Centuries of Winemaking, Bottled with Care

With a winemaking history that stretches back thousands of years, Georgia is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. At the show, Vinitor Mukuzani Winery stood out by preserving traditional 19th-century techniques still practiced in Mukuzani village—producing Saperavi-based red wines with deep character and a connection to the past. Meanwhile, Cooperative Ruispiri introduced organic and biodynamic wines that reflect both careful craftsmanship and a commitment to natural farming.

Hazelnuts that Go Beyond the Basics

Georgia’s hazelnuts are known for their clean flavor and high oil content—ideal for both direct consumption and industrial applications. NUTSGE brought a wide range of processed hazelnuts, from in-shell and roasted kernels to chopped pieces and smooth paste, offering flexibility for use across snacks, desserts, and spreads. Nuts Incorporated complemented this with both hazelnuts and almonds, focusing on quality, consistency, and health-oriented appeal.

Canned Dishes That Bring Georgian Cuisine to the Table

Prepared foods from Georgia are gaining attention for their bold flavors and convenience. SADILI showcased traditional Georgian meals in ready-to-eat canned form, such as Kharcho (beef in walnut sauce) and Chakhokhbili (chicken in tomato sauce). These dishes offer an easy way for international consumers to access the taste of Georgian home cooking—flavorful, familiar, and shelf-stable.
