Food Exhibition | China's Peach Canned Fruit Export Report for Q1 2025

According to official data released by the Fruit Canned Food Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce & Animal By-Products (CFNA), China's export performance for canned peaches in the first quarter of 2025 showed the following trends:

 

 

1. Overall Export Performance  

From January to March 2025, China exported 36,900 metric tons of canned peaches, generating $41.55 million in revenue, with an average price of $1,127 per ton. Compared to the same period in 2024, export volume declined by 2%, revenue dropped by 12%, and the average price fell by 10%. Notably, in March 2025 alone, exports reached 14,100 metric tons, earning $15.8 million at an average price of $1,120 per ton. While export volume remained stable year-on-year, revenue decreased by 13%, and prices fell by 13%.  

 

2. Major Export Markets  

The Food Exhibition notes that canned peaches were shipped to 80 countries and regions in Q1 2025. The top eight destinations by export value were: Japan, the United States, Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Chile, and Australia. Key market details include:  

 

·Japan: Imported 8,993 tons (24% of total exports), generating $11.93 million at $1,326/ton. Volume increased by 2%, but revenue declined by 7%, with prices down 9%.  

 

·United States: Purchased 8,279 tons (22% share), contributing $9.01 million at $1,088/ton. Volume fell by 2%, revenue dropped 11%, and prices decreased by 9%.  

 

·Mexico: Bought 2,836 tons (8% share), worth $2.73 million at $961/ton. Volume surged 26%, revenue rose 10%, but prices declined 13%.  

 

·Canada: Imported 2,202 tons (6% share), valued at $2.64 million at $1,200/ton. Volume grew 13%, revenue remained stable, but prices fell 12%.  

 

3. Leading Domestic Production Regions  

A total of 18 provinces participated in exports, with the top six by revenue being: Shandong, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, Fujian, and Hebei. Highlights include:  

 

·Shandong: Exported 11,300 tons (31% share), earning $13.48 million at $1,198/ton. Volume fell 8%, revenue dropped 18%, and prices declined 11%.  

 

·Zhejiang: Shipped 5,148 tons (14% share), generating $6.67 million at $1,295/ton. Volume decreased 11%, revenue fell 12%, and prices dipped slightly by 1%.  

 

·Anhui: Exported 6,931 tons (19% share), worth $5.86 million at $845/ton. Volume rose 9%, but revenue declined 5%, with prices down 13%.
