In contrast, the consumption of egg products in Japan, the United States and the European Union accounted for 50%, 33% and 25% of egg consumption respectively.

The consumption of egg liquid and egg powder is rising

 

According to the analysis, in recent years, with the promotion of policies and scientific and technological progress, the production of egg powder and egg liquid products has increased than before, and the increase in egg liquid production is more obvious.

 

According to statistics, since 2011, the compound growth rate of China's egg liquid market has reached 12%, and the compound growth rate of egg powder market has reached nearly 10%. In 2021, the total output of liquid egg products in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) is about 280,000 tons, and the total output of egg powder is about 23,000 tons.

 

In the egg liquid products, 45% is the protein liquid, 30% is the whole egg liquid, 25% is the yolk liquid; Of the egg powder products, 50% are protein powder, 37% are egg yolk powder, and only 13% are whole egg powder.

 

In 2023, there are a total of about 27 egg processing enterprises in China. In terms of egg deep processing, it is mainly liquid egg products that separate egg whites and solid egg products that separate egg yolks.

 

 

What are the commercial uses of egg liquid and egg powder?

 

Compared with shell eggs, egg liquid and egg powder are not easy to lose in transportation, transportation and storage are very convenient, and there are different specifications to choose from, which can save the entire egg-beating link, effectively save labor, time and other costs, and has outstanding commercial advantages.

 

It is reported that egg products such as egg liquid and egg powder are very common and account for a relatively high proportion in Europe, the United States, Japan and other countries, and have formed a complete production and consumption chain.

 

Egg liquid is widely used in baking, cold drinks, pasta, pastry and other processing enterprises; Egg powder has been widely used in cold drinks, candy and various pasta products.

 

In the long run, eggs as a primary processing agricultural products, the price will be cyclical fluctuations with the market situation, therefore, many egg companies through the processing of fresh eggs, extend the industrial chain, enrich product varieties and other ways to improve the added value of products.
