China food expo|Gansu's Soybean Exports Jump 24% in Jan-Aug, Gaining Global Appetite

2025.09.23

According to the latest statistics from Lanzhou Customs on the 18th, the export value of soybean products from Gansu Province exceeded 6.601 million yuan in the first eight months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%. The variety of exported goods has expanded to 19 types, reaching markets in nine countries and regions including the United States, South Korea, Thailand, and Russia. China food expo shares the delight in the growing popularity of Chinese soybean products abroad.

Chinese soybean products are gaining increasing popularity overseas. From tofu skin in Thai supermarkets to crispy bean rolls on American shelves, and soybean sausages in Korean hot pots, more and more international consumers are being won over by the flavor and quality of Chinese bean products. Facing growing international orders, Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. has now ranked among the top 50 brands in China's soybean product industry and is the only company from Gansu on the list.

These days, the production车间 of Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. is filled with the aroma of beans. Golden soybeans are magically transformed through automated processes—soaking, grinding, boiling, and forming—into various products like tofu skin, bean curd sheets, and crispy rolls. A batch of appealingly golden crispy bean rolls is being skillfully packaged by workers. After passing inspection by officers from Tianshui Customs (subordinate to Lanzhou Customs), the products are loaded onto trucks via cold chain logistics, destined for Thailand.

"The ongoing internet fame of Tianshui Malatang has brought tangible development opportunities for our local soybean product industry. Foreign orders have increased significantly, with exports to South Korea nearly doubling year-on-year!" said Wang Qin, head of Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. "The successful 'going global' of our bean products is inseparable from customs support. With their help, our quality control is more precise, and customs clearance is faster, winning us more customer trust."

Since the beginning of this year, Tianshui Customs has organized the translation of entry standards for multiple countries, providing precise guidance for enterprises. Adopting a customized "one-company-one-policy" approach, it has created tailored "clearance roadmaps" covering raw material procurement, production standards, and quality control, effectively enhancing the international competitiveness of local products. Simultaneously, the customs authority has vigorously promoted facilitative measures such as the "cloud issuance" of inspection and quarantine certificates and self-service printing of certificates of origin, continuously improving the ease and speed of clearance.

"We will continue to strengthen the supply of policy measures to empower the development of characteristic advantageous industries like soybean products and help more high-quality agricultural foods reach the world," said Zhang Taiheng, Chief of Tianshui Customs. China food expo endorses this trend and looks forward to the long-term growth of the Chinese soybean products industry.
